Details

Five days of indoor padel, competitive match play and city experiences in Warsaw. Train in small groups, stay in the lively Powiśle district and discover the Polish capital alongside players from different levels.

🏙️ Why Warsaw

Indoor courts, zero weather risk

October in Poland is great but could change - which is exactly why every session is played indoors. Professionally lit, climate-controlled courts mean the programme runs in full no matter what the sky is doing, and you train in identical conditions every single day.

A capital that catches people off guard

Warsaw is rebuilt, restless and genuinely fun: a reconstructed Old Town and Royal Castle on one side of the river, converted power stations, food halls and riverside bars on the other. Almost nobody arrives with expectations, and almost everybody leaves planning a return trip.

Serious value for money

You get a Western European capital - 4★ design hotel, quality restaurants, top facilities - at prices that make the same trip in Spain, Portugal or Italy look expensive. That gap is the whole point of this camp.

🏆 The Club

Rakiety PGE Narodowy

A premium indoor facility built into the National Stadium complex - one of the most recognisable buildings in the country and a genuinely unusual place to spend a week hitting balls. Professional lighting, covered courts, consistent conditions.

Players are grouped by level from a questionnaire sent before arrival, with a maximum of four players per coach, so feedback is specific rather than generic. You do not need to bring a partner; pairings are organised on site.

The club sits roughly 12 minutes from the hotel - on foot, by city bike or one hop on the metro.

🏨 Hotel

Barceló Warsaw Powiśle ★★★★

A four-star hotel inside the former Powiśle Power Station, an industrial landmark on the bank of the Vistula in Warsaw's most fashionable district.

  • Rooftop pool and sky bar on the 5th floor
  • 24/7 fitness studio
  • Restaurant and lobby bar
  • 151 rooms with industrial-inspired design
  • 50 m from Centrum Nauki Kopernik metro station
  • Old Town, riverside boulevards and the Elektrownia Powiśle food hall all within walking distance

🌿 Optional Activities

Elektrownia Powiśle

Two minutes from the lobby: a converted power station now holding a food hall, independent shops and bars. The default meeting point for the group.

Museums worth the afternoon

The Warsaw Uprising Museum and POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews are both world-class, and both indoor - ideal for the free Friday afternoon.

Praga district

Cross the river into the one part of the city the war largely spared: pre-war tenements, artists' studios, courtyard shrines and some of Warsaw's most characterful bars.

Pierogi and vodka tasting

A guided introduction to Polish food and its national spirit, run by people who take both more seriously than you would expect.

Copernicus Science Centre

Directly next to the hotel, and one of Europe's best hands-on science museums - a good call for anyone travelling with family.

❓ FAQs

DO I NEED TO BRING A PARTNER? No. Most participants come alone. Groups are formed on site by level, and the Welcome Mexicano on the first evening exists precisely so that nobody spends the week as an outsider.

CAN A BEGINNER JOIN? Yes - all levels are welcome. We ask everyone to complete a short questionnaire beforehand so that coaches can group players sensibly. A little court experience will help you get more out of the week, but it is not a requirement.

WHAT DOES THE ACCOMPANYING PERSON GET? Accommodation with breakfast in the shared room, plus all the group social activities: the city walk, bar tour and evenings out. They simply do not take part in the training or the tournament.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS BAD? Nothing. All courts are indoor and professionally lit, so the schedule runs as published regardless of rain or temperature.

HOW DO I GET TO WARSAW? Warsaw Chopin airport is served by direct flights from most European cities and sits 20 minutes from the hotel by taxi or train. Return fares from the UK and Western Europe are usually in the €60–120 range if booked early.

IS THE ORGANISER LICENSED? Yes. Rakiety Camps is operated by Rakiety sp. z o.o., a registered Polish tour operator (no. 3049) with mandatory insurance guarantees and several completed camp editions behind it.
