Meet Alex, head coach and technical director. Spanish-born, certified by the Spanish Padel Federation (FEP), and with over 20 years of experience as both a player and a trainer, Alex has led top-level academies in Mallorca and coached international players alongside professional Spanish coaches. His sessions are purpose-driven: every drill, every match, every correction is built around a clear progression. Players walk away knowing exactly what they improved and how to keep working on it after the camp. His method combines tactical understanding, decision-making, and creativity, layered on a strong technical foundation that prevents injuries and ensures long-term progress. Beyond the strokes, Alex coaches the mental side: building confident, focused players who perform under pressure.
“We don’t teach you to hit harder. We teach you to play smarter.” — Alex
The coaching is built on the Spanish school: tactical understanding, decision-making, and game intelligence, layered onto technical fundamentals. Every session has a structure: technical drill, isolated game situation, full-court match application. You don’t just hit balls, you understand why you’re hitting them. Work is done in small groups of 4 to 6 players, so each person gets personal correction throughout the session. Video analysis (on Up Premium and Up Biz packages) lets you see what your serve and overhead look like. Programs are progressive and fully personalized: start where you are, identify the 2 or 3 things that will move your level forward fastest, and build the week around those. By the end of the camp, you’ll know how to self-evaluate, recognize patterns, and keep improving on your own.
Padel is a Spanish sport. The players, the methods, the tactics, all developed here. Outside Spain, coaching is often borrowed from tennis, translated through second-hand instructors, or built from YouTube tutorials. In Spain, coaching is its own discipline. Spanish coaches don’t teach you to copy a video, they teach you to read a game and make better decisions. That’s the difference between knowing the strokes and actually winning matches. Coming to Mallorca for a padel camp isn’t just about playing on better courts in better weather. It’s about training the way the top of the sport trains.
